Women Shaping Cities
REIS invites you to a conversation about how women build, design, and shape the places we live.
THE PANEL
Women Shaping the City
A conversation about how women influence the built environment, access opportunity, and shape urban futures. Moderated by Filomena Cautela.

Filomena Cautela
Filomena Cautela is one of Portugal's most recognised television presenters and actresses. She has hosted RTP's late night talk show 5 Para a Meia Noite since 2015 and co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon. Known for her sharp wit and ability to draw out honest conversation across disciplines, she brings a rare combination of warmth and rigour to the moderator's chair. Her skill lies in connecting voices that might not otherwise share a stage, making her a natural fit for a discussion on who gets to shape the spaces we live in.

Ana Santos
Ana Santos is Head of Operations Portugal at REIS, where she leads the delivery of the company's growing development portfolio, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability. With extensive experience in luxury real estate, she previously served as Real Estate Project Director at Draycott SCR, overseeing landmark developments including Laje Capital and Sublime Comporta. Ana brings a perspective shaped by decades of navigating complex builds, and a sharp understanding of how operational decisions directly influence the spaces people ultimately live in.

Margarida Caldeira
Margarida de Ordaz Caldeira has over 30 years of experience in architecture and urban design. She joined Broadway Malyan in 1995, founded the Lisbon studio a year later, and was appointed to the Main Board in 2003, leading the group's global hospitality sector. Her work spans landmark projects across Europe, Africa, and Latin America, giving her a rare perspective on how cities are shaped by the decisions made at the design table, and whose priorities those decisions reflect. In 2024, she became the first woman appointed Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Portugal.

Mariana Martins
Mariana Martins is an Interior Architect at REIS, where she is responsible for the delivery of all current and forthcoming residential projects in Portugal. With 19 years of experience spanning architecture and project coordination, she has worked across residential, retail, and commercial developments in Lisbon, Comporta, and Melides. It was through her own personal projects that she first moved into interior design, bringing a distinctive perspective shaped by both architectural discipline and an intuitive understanding of how people inhabit space.

Joana Pitanga
Joana Pitanga is a Portuguese visual artist whose vivid, colour-driven work transforms urban surfaces into spaces of connection and reflection. Working across street art murals, painting, illustration, and object customisation, her practice is guided by intuition and a restless exploration of shape and colour. A regular presence at street art events and exhibitions across Portugal, Joana brings a perspective rooted in how public art shapes the character of cities and the way people experience and move through them.

Dra. Paula Iglésias
Dra. Paula Iglésias is a pharmacist, author, educator, and founder of both Dicas da Farmacêutica and the SelfCare MARKET & SUMMIT, Portugal's pioneering event dedicated to health, prevention, and conscious self-care. With over 20 years in pharmaceutical practice and 15 years as a university lecturer, she has built her career around empowering people to take an active role in their own wellbeing. She brings a perspective grounded in the belief that how we care for ourselves shapes how we inhabit and contribute to the world around us.
